Έχει εργαστεί ως ερευνητής στο University of Houston, στο Ινστιτούτο Τεχνολογίας και Έρευνας και στο Εθνικό και Καποδιστριακό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών. Ήταν ερευνητής και επιστημονικός υπεύθυνος σε έργα χρηματοδοτούμενα από την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση. Είναι Associate Editor στο περιοδικό Social Network Analysis and Mining, Springer από το 2017, μέλος της επιτροπής του συνεδρίου ASONAΜ, καθώς και πολλών άλλων, στους τομείς της επικοινωνίας με ομιλία, ανάλυσης δεδομένων κοινωνικών δικτύων και χρηστικότητας. Ήταν Guest Editor στο Special Issue ”Semantic Web Technology and Recommender Systems” στο περιοδικό Journal of Big Data and Cognitive Computing, 2021.
