Announcement Participation in the ERASMUS+ Program
The Department of Management Science and Technology at the University of the Peloponnese is participating in the ERASMUS+ program titled “Digital Womanist” (Project Code: K.A. 80646) under the scientific coordination of Associate Professor Athanasios Anastasios. The program focuses on developing digital skills among female students in the humanities. Specifically:
The digital revolution has significantly impacted the production and accessibility of cultural content, as well as how the public interacts with culture, highlighting the importance of making the cultural system recognizable and engaging. The Digital Womanist project collaboration aims to design a new curriculum to develop digital hard skills in female humanities students. This will be based on both qualitative and quantitative research, including literature reviews and field studies of higher education curriculum offerings.
The program will analyze the training provided by humanities schools, emphasizing strengths and identifying areas for improvement to equip students with the necessary digital skills. Additionally, interviews with cultural organization representatives will identify the skills required for digital transformation, guiding university systems accordingly. Feedback from female students will also be collected to identify and address barriers limiting digital skill development and reducing the digital gender gap.
Subsequently, partners will design the university curriculum “Digital Womanist” to foster the digital hard skills of female humanities students. Open Educational Resources will also be developed in the form of interactive educational videos, forming part of the educational TV program “DIGIT” for women’s digital advancement. Participating students will collaborate with project organizations to analyze and apply the most suitable digital solutions for transforming the cultural system. Prototypes will be developed in Digital Design Labs and integrated into partner organizations.
Furthermore, a group of collaborating educators will adapt and harmonize the methodological approach to transformative guidance, facilitating workshops and supporting the personal and professional development of female students.
