Short CVZacharias Dermatis is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Management Science and Technology of the University of Peloponnese, specializing in "Innovative and Digital Technologies for Quality of Life". Since 2015, he has been serving at the University of Peloponnese, initially at the Department of Economics, and since 2020 at the Department of Management Science and Technology.
He has taught a variety of courses, including Management Information Systems, e-Government, Information Technology Applications in Health, Strategic Management and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). He holds a PhD degree in "Design and Development of an Information System Using GIS for the Investigation of Socio-economic Indicators Affecting the Health Status of the Elderly" and a Master's degree in "Computer Science and Technology". His first degree is in the field of Electrical Engineering from Piraeus Technological Educational Institute (Piraeus).
He is an active member of three laboratories in the Department of Management Science and Technology and the iLEADS Research and Training Centre of the University of Piraeus. His areas of expertise include Quality of Life, Health IT Applications, GIS, Databases, Data Digitization, as well as programming and analytical tools such as Visual Basic, Python, SPSS, Jamovi, Altair's Rapid Miner, and Promethee multicriteria decision analysis.He has published numerous scientific articles and has presented papers at international and national conferences. In addition, he has contributed to the writing of books and chapters in edited volumes, promoting knowledge and innovation in his areas of expertise.
